Itz one week from christmas break!

        Today i'm going to blog about fantasy football. It is a very important week for all the fantasy owners. It is the playoffs and right now after the Falcons creamed the Jaguars giving me 32 points for Micheal turner, and Falcons defense and special teams. Im winning 168 points to a meas-ally 107. He has his whole team left to play for this week but Winning by 51 points, and having Wes Welker, and Cam Newton left to play i don't think that all have any problem winning this round of the playoffs.
        If I win this week i'll be playing my eastern division rival that's 11-2 with one of his losses coming to me. My team is 9-4 but I've been on a roll lately winning 3 straight, and hope fully this weeks match up. I'm choosing not start Percy Harvin because of the Vikings inconsisantcy, and their turnovers.

Friday December 9th.

 Yeah!! two more weeks until winter break :-)

         Yesterday with the fifth graders was very fun. The animoto video that I made for Will turned out really well. the only problem that we had was the music choice. If we did this again I wouldn't change a thing, since it turned out great.
         The projects that our group made on Google doc.s I believe turned out very well for us. the two things that i learned was what Creative commons was, and what copyright actually meant. The things that I've learned about doing this project will hopefully help me in future projects.
          For our next project just to let you know. I have no experience using digital photography.

First Friday of December!

 Loving the not so freezing December. I Hope it stays this nice all Winter. No snow yet.......

    The idea of blended learning is alright I guess. Its very pointless though since what the point of even coming to school? Since if you have to meet three times a week what are supposed to do for the other three days. Just roam the halls on a laptop doing a 20 minute homework assignment for a whole 50 minute period. so overall  I don't agree with this option.
The two things that I learned from watching that Google video was that they make tons of money off of these little adds. But what I really found out that was funny is that 95% of Google profit is the click of you mouse on an ad so I can just click on 100 different ads as many times as I wan per day and every time it makes the business pay them 1 dollar.
Overall our Google project is pretty cool so far but I think that the deadline might need to be extended.

    Its finally Friday guys.
The project that we have working on in Xtranormal has been pretty fun to basically make a little cartoon. Overall it has been pretty easy to navigate and use . I would recommend this site to anyone that wants to make a unique project. But the only downside is that you have to pay for your membership there.
 Copy right is a very important thing, as in relating to school since it is very important not to use someone else's work or research for your own. But I think how the school controls it gets a bit out of hand . Since there are so many sites that may have the same information that you have found so the school may or may not accuse you. but overall i think copyright is very important . I try to follow these guidelines as best as possible to not violate copyright laws.

     The data feature of Excel was just used to organize your data into special coll-oms or categories. This tool could be used for allot of things like keeping track of your finances or how much that you are spending.
     The xtranormal project looks really cool so far. I think that this project for me is coming along pretty well. I have had no problems with it so far, and I think that I will like this project.

     Etechnology has been a great class so far this quarter. I believe that I have learned allot about the different tolls that we have been using throughout this quarter. My favorite unit so far has defiantly been Microsoft Word. Since I learned how to use allot of new things, and that it was very easy to navigate through since I was the most familiar with it. but i still enjoyed to the other projects like Animoto, Excel, and Voicethread .

    So I enjoyed this class and i hope I still have allot of fun in it through this following Quarter to end my first semester here at VAHS.  I hope that we do more web 2.0 projects since I think that they are very interesting and cool to mess with.

Two more days until Fall break!

       Finally the it's the end of October. Even though I am not going on any vacations over the break. I will still have a very relaxing time at home with my brother.


       Overall the voice thread project went all right. We kind had to rush since every other day one of our group members was sick, especially me. But we still got it done, and I think that it turned out alright. The only major dislike that I have about Voice Thread is that you can't organize your posts in the order that you want them in.
         I think that I do have a good idea on how to use all of the formulas on Excel even the IF functions. Also overall I think this unit has really helped on how to use Excel, and how I can use it more often for projects, and other things.

      Well the many projects that we have done on Excel have been very useful, and I've learned how to use it pretty well. I think that Excel can be used for allot of things like for statistics for sports games or payroll for a business. but i don't really see the need for it at school. the only thing about Excel that I find difficult is making formulas for each specific area, and it gets confusing after a while. That's why I think that we need to practice more on the formulas in class.
      I've been sick lately with a fever so I've just found out today about this whole voice thread project but I haven't been able to talk with my group yet. So yeah. Happy first week of October everybody.

Homecoming Friday! 10/ 7/11

•         Before we started this unit on Excel I had hardly ever used it before but now that we have been using it for a few projects now it is starting to become a little easier to understand and use. It is very helpful and it helps you to do allot of formulas that you would normally have to do on a calculate over, and over again just once and you just drag down, and it does it to all of the selected cells. the best part of this so far though was definitively playing battleship ( I won of course).

•         The web 2.0 tool that I chose to use was Jpeg mini . It was a tool that allowed you to upload as many pictures as you wanted to off your computer, and it would automatically shrink the file size to save you those precious Kb's( ironically this is their catch phrase). Then after it shrinks them for you can either re download them back on your computer or upload them to Flickr.

This is my final blog of September, and I am regretting the coming snowfall.

      The digital nation video was alright I guess to have watched . What surprised me the most about watching this video was in South Korea when they actually had rehab camps for the kids that were addicted, and the doctors in that country considered this addiction a mental disorder. But what i liked about the video is that it didn't just show how bad technology was it showed the cons of it and how it helps us.
      Overall my newsletter project went pretty well and I got to learn about a couple new features on Word. Overall for this project I learned allot of new things, and was a challenge to learn all of the new features in a short period of time. But I managed to able to finish, and i think that I did a good job at doing it.
      I thought Voice Thread was a very cool Web 2.0 tool to use, and I was also very found that it was very cool since I could do my interview on my phone and just simply hang up and it would save my post.

Do you understand what Google Reader does? Explain, if you do.
    Google Reader Is a very tool that Google provides to you that organizes everything that you can do on your Google accounts on to one webpage that is very easy to use.
We began watching Digital Nation. What did you think about the claims regarding multitasking? Do you agree or disagree with the studies being done? What is your reaction to the gaming addictions of teens in South Korea?
    I thought that many of the peoples claims of how effective multitasking is for them is exactly how myself feels on multitasking. Well I agree that those studies showed that multitasking really wasn't that effective. I  still do agree that multitasking helps your brain not to get stuck on one subject at a time, and to brainstorm fresh ideas. My reaction to the gaming addictions in South Korea was appalling especially that one kid who didn't spend any time with his mother, and he was flunking out of school. But he didn't care, all that mattered to him was the game. The weirdest part was when you found out that they had special rehab camp for those addicted with that "disease".
Do you feel you have a good understanding of the project and will be able to incorporate all the requirements?
     I do feel that I do have a good understanding of what i am able to do for this project.

My 1st Post!

 What are your opinions on Moodle?
 So far for me personally moodle has been fine for me to work with. It's very easy to navigate through and the setup of the page is pretty nifty. Even though this isn't my first year using Moodle ( I used it in 8th. grade for my technology class) I think that it is Easier to use since I understand it more.


 Can you see yourself using an online course in the future?
Yes I can see myself using an online course for like High School or for like individual classes in college. But I don't thing i'd do a whole online college thing , you would miss out on a whole real life experiences of interacting with your friends. I think that the online courses would be most useful in all technology classes since they don't need to be explained in a lesson or on paper as much as like an art or history class. Also I do think that I can do a Word table on my own but I would need to
have the instructions on the names of the tools I'd be using.
